Team Dance lead inclusive delivery workshop for People Dancing

This week our Head of Dance Sam and Assistant Head of Dance Vicky delivered a brand new workshop for People Dancing, the development and membership organisation for community and participatory dance, based around creating inclusive and engaging digital content for children and young people.

Inspired by learnings from our virtual classes journey, the workshop walked through areas such as filming at home, working with an editor, and thinking creatively about themes and content. We demonstrated our ‘at home’ green screen set up, which enables us to add animations and visual effects to our pre-recorded classes, and championed affordable and simple equipment solutions for smooth online delivery.

For Flamingo Chicks, the future is hybrid! We believe having both online and in-person classes can only aid accessibility moving forward and we’re keen to encourage others to develop and feel confident in delivering engaging and inclusive digital content.

If you’d like to find out more about our professional development workshops, drop the team an email to enquire.
