BETH WHITEHEAD

Dance Teacher

Beth is a community dance artist based in Manchester. From a young age she has trained in a variety of styles, including Ballet, Jazz, and Modern, but took a particular shine to Contemporary Dance, which she went onto study at Kingston University London. While completing her degree she worked as a facilitator in hospital settings for adults and children with acquired brain injuries. Through this work, she was able to use movement as a form of mental and physical therapy and became captivated by the power dance could hold in people’s lives. Since graduating, Beth has worked in a local Primary School where she delivers dance classes for KS1 and KS2 children with a focus on building self-esteem and creativity through the joy of movement. Beth hopes to continue using her passion for dance as a tool to ignite positive change for people and their communities.
