Zara spent her childhood in a ballet studio and made her childhood dreams come true – being a successful professional dancer. Raised in Trinidad, Zara came to London via studying and dancing in New York, to be the Dance Captain for The Lion King in the West End. After 10 years as The Lion King’s Dance Captain, she retired from the stage, and turned her hand to operations – building and scaling start-ups in music and health tech. She continues her operator skills as the Senior Business Improvement Manager at Bates Wells, the leading Charity and Social Enterprise law firm in the UK. She has experience in scaling a breadth of business operations and is passionate about doing and living the necessary work to contribute to a world where the ethnic global majority can be at peace.
