Amy Thomas is a dance teacher, choreographer, and community practitioner with over 10 years’ experience. Alongside her dancing career, she is a fully qualified Special Needs Teacher, specialising in supporting neurodivergent children. Her work includes teaching SEND sports and dance sessions for children aged 4-16, delivering chair dance and fitness classes in retirement homes and dance sessions at residential care homes.
In addition to her SEND teaching background, Amy works actively as a dance teacher and practitioner. She currently teaches regular dance classes with The Showgirl Academy and delivers dance performances to care homes through the same organisation. This ongoing work has enabled her to adapt delivery across a range of settings, ages and needs, while maintaining a calm, engaging and inclusive atmosphere.
